The Schooner Hindu has returned to Key West for her winter season! After an arduous two week yard period, she has resumed her famous Key West Sunset Sails, and now offers a “Make your own bloody mary” bar on Sundays! (Or Sunday Bloody Sunday) as we like to call it.
A ocean transit is hard on any boat, much less a 92 year old schooner. For two weeks the crew worked 12 hour days in the sun, trying to make Hindu beautiful and happy again. Spars were sanded, seams were caulked, and end of the day, well earned beers were drank!
We have always been searching for new things to bring on to Schooner Hindu, and after much research, and even more taste tasting we decided to do a “make your own” bloody mary bar on board! Key West has a great artisan market, so we wanted to really tap into that and use local only products. We grabbed ingredients from Pickle Baron, Peppers of Key West and Faustos!
While we had all the ingredients we wanted, we still wanted to get justttt a little crazier, so we added donuts, Key West Pink shrimp and a bacon rim! We never said it was healthy, but think of it as a breakfast salad.
We hope everyone can come and join us in the next few months for either our Key West Sunset Sail or Key West Bloody Mary sail. Remember, locals and military receive 10% all bookings, and we are dog friendly!
